Customer Support Engineer

We are seeking individuals with enthusiasm for events and technology to support and maintain customers using communications and interactive services. After suitable training you will be required to operate, support, and monitor installations along with diagnosing and fixing customer issues. You will need to display good customer engagement skills, problem solving and be able to work under your own initiative, whilst working in a small team.

Contractual details

Wiltshire or London based
6-8 months fixed term contract starting 2012 (with potential to convert to full time)
Shift patterns and weekend work

Skills and qualities

Knowledge of some or all of the following:

  • IP networks
  • Wireless networks
  • VOIP and PBX configuration
  • Windows
  • Linux
  • Mac OS
  • Project management frameworks

Demonstrable experience of the following would be desirable:

  • Desire to learn and become an expert in any of the above, training programme will be provided.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills are essential
  • Strong problem solving and client diagnostic skills
  • Dealing with customers in commercial environment

Qualifications

  • Likely to have a 2:1 or higher in a technology orientated degree or equivalent qualification or suitable industry experience
  • CCNA or equivalent would be desirable
  • Valid UK work visa
  • Full UK driving license
