Experienced Technical Lead Network Engineer

We are seeking individuals with enthusiasm for technology to develop and maintain the next generation solutions which power the communications and interactive services at our events. After suitable training you will be required to deploy and configure installations, manage installation teams, manage onsite customers and monitor, diagnose and fix customer issues onsite. In addition you will be expected to play a significant role in developing next generation solutions. You will need to display good problem solving skills, self-motivation and be able to work under your own initiative, whilst working in/leading a small team.

Contractual details

Wiltshire or London based
6-8 months fixed term contract starting 2012 (with potential to convert to full time)
Shift patterns and weekend work

Skills and qualities

Thorough knowledge of some or all of the following:

• IP networks (including advanced routing and VLANs) with demonstrable experience
• Advanced Wireless networking: CWNP (Certified Wireless Network Professional) or equivalent.
• Knowledge of VOIP, SIP protocols and open source PBX technologies
• Windows
• Linux
• Mac OS
• Project management frameworks

Demonstrable experience of the following would be desirable:

• Team leadership experience
• Good written and verbal communication skills are essential
• Ability to diagnose, solve and explain client issues to less technical customers

Qualifications

• 2:1 or higher in a technology orientated degree or a closely related field or suitable industry experience
• Minimum 5 years industry experience
• CCNA or equivalent
• Valid UK work visa
• Full UK driving license
