Etherlive Mobile Communications Unit

The Etherlive Mobile Communications Unit operates as a central point of control for small to medium network deployments. Based in a convenient, discrete flight case it encompasses powerful network components to support organisers including wireless internet, phone lines, CCTV and networked printing. Etherlive technical staff can setup and manage the mobile comms unit quickly and efficiently without having to install individual pieces of equipment.

The mobile comms unit reduces the need for organisers to arrange desk space, various cable runs and IT racking. It can be managed by one Etherlive engineer and includes an emergency phone point should an ELT line be required. Alternatively, the unit can be supported remotely by Etherlive engineers.

The unit supports up to 15 digital (VoIP) phone lines and internet access including a hijack page with user individual logins if required. Connectivity can be taken from a variety of sources including satellite, ADSL (BT Line) and 3G. It can also manage up to up to four Etherlive wireless network units (called PODS) allowing the wireless network to be extended over a medium sized site. Battery backup and secure tethering points are also included.
